1) All work for book club (week 1) is now due, including 2 questions posted and responded to on kidblog, the reading response question in Google classroom, and, of course, you've read 1/4 of your novel. Please have your questions for Week 2 posted to kidblog by Tuesday.
2) You should have finished your persuasive essay planning organizer, conferenced with me, and are now writing up a rough draft. We'll continue working on Monday.
Math
Today we learned how to estimate and find a percent of a number. For example, to find 30% of 40, first find 10% (4) and then multiply by 3 (12). We worked on question in Math Makes Sense today, p. 318-319 #3-6 & 9.
Social Studies
Today we created a flow map showing either the top 5 imports or exports between Canada and another country.
