Science
In Science we have been discussing the following terms...

  • vertebrates
  • invertebrates
  • endoskeleton
  • exoskeleton
  • warm-blooded
  • cold-blooded
In small groups, students discovered the characteristics of animals that are in each category and came up with a few examples for each.

Today, we used a venn diagram to compare and contrast animals from different categories (for example, fish and birds).

Students then added each term to their glossary, and updated the entry for species so it reads, "a set of animals or plants, in which the members have similar characteristics to each other and can breed with each other."
